SRWG STAFF
Tracy Wendt
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Tracy joined SRWG as Watershed Coordinator in October 2018. While attending the University of Montana, she worked on Rock Creek as well as the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers. She then worked for Wyoming Game + Fish on the Popo Agie River in Lander and the East Fork of the Wind River, before joining the Big Thompson Watershed Coalition in Colorado as the project manager. Tracy brings a background in flood recovery, habitat improvement, and collaborative project approaches to the Sun River Watershed team. Tracy serves on the Missouri River Flyfishers and Montana Watershed Coordination Council Boards of Directors, is an Associate Supervisor with Cascade Conservation District, and is on the Western Division AFS Riparian, Watershed, and Habitat Committee. In her free time, Tracy can usually be found exploring Montana’s breweries, rivers, and streams with her two dogs, Gus and Huckleberry.
Tracy loves to hear from people who care about our watershed and who want to get involved in our work. Click here to email Tracy.
Madison Colyer
WATERSHED + OUTREACH PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Madison joined the SRWG as the full-time Watershed + Outreach Program Coordinator in January 2025. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Pennsylvania and has a background in geology, surface and groundwater hydrology, GIS, and watershed conservation. She worked for USGS as a Hydrologic Field Assistant collecting surface water quality data and maintaining stream gages before returning to school to complete her master’s degree. Madison’s graduate research focused on citizen-science based water quality sampling and using new geospatial techniques to map project areas. Following her graduate studies, Madison completed a term of service with the Montana Conservation Corp as a Big Sky Watershed Corps member. She worked with the Hill County Conservation District in Havre to create water quality Sample Analysis Plans for the Beaver Creek and Big Sandy watersheds. Outside of work, Madison can be found playing pool at local bars, hiking/camping in National Forests and Parks, or wrangling her two cats, Banquet and Sabrina.
You can contact Madison at madison@sunriverwatershed.org.
